Tropical Storm busy week for weather across the country tracking snow early this week in the central plains. And then the exact opposite tropical weather in the Gulf of Mexico for the middle of the week.

This is expected to make landfall Wednesday into Thursday Zeta now still a tropical storm but not for much longer in the Caribbean winds are at 70 miles per hour 74 + is all it takes to reach hurricane status.

It’s expected to be a cat 1 hurricane when it makes landfall in the Yucatan Peninsula late Monday night early.

Tuesday morning so we can a little bit over land and then expected to maintain its hurricane status over the Gulf of Mexico and make landfall in Louisiana or Mississippi late on Monday early Tuesday.

We can’t totally rule out an Alabama or Far Far Western Panhandle, Florida landfall, that’s all well within the projected path.

But once it makes landfall the projected path doesn’t really become a big issue. It’s really just going to be the rain leftover from Zeta and cold front that it Vines with that’s going to bring a lot of rain for the eastern US now.

This part of the Gulf of Mexico has already seen numerous named tropical systems. So far this year. We’ve had three of them in this path to for Eastern, Louisiana, and then of course Category 2 hurricane
